Wild Dolphins in Hawaii, Trish Regan - Dolphin Spirit of Hawaii
Trish Regan and Doug Hackett conduct daily swims with wild dolphins on the big island of Hawaii. Participants can learn about interactions of cetaceans with humans.

The facilitators lovingly guide small groups of 8 -10 adults through daily meditations, as well as dolphin swims. A welcoming meeting in their island home with fresh leis and soothing island music sets the tone for a mind expanding week.

On the first day, a safety policy is established, with snorkeling practice in shallow waters. This prepares the group for the experience of immersing themselves in Hawaii's warm ocean waters, allowing the cares and challenges of life to melt away. Speaking about the dolphins, Trish Regan says, "We are surrounded in their energy fields of joy, healing and radiance and often become a part of the pod."

Daily Schedule for Dolphin Swims

Everyday, before boarding the boat, the group joins hands in a circle to thank the Hawaiian Gods for allowing them to enter their warm, nurturing water. A message of love is sent to the dolphins, asking them to join in play if they so choose. The boat-ride itself is uplifting, with the magnificent view of the radiant blue waters ahead. When dolphins appear, participants may join them in the water only if the dolphins purposely remain by the boat.

In an interview with Suite101, Doug Hackett said "Whenever we have become concerned about too many people swimming with the dolphins ... and too many boats, too ... we have meditated and asked the dolphins what we are to do because it is their lives and their home. Consistently, the dolphins have told us, "Bring more people ... bring more people ... the earth is raising her vibration, and humanity must raise its vibration, or it will be too painful for us to be on the planet."

Afternoons are for rest and relaxation followed by late afternoon gatherings with the facilitators. In the evenings after dinner and a spectacular Kona sunset, participants share experiences and thoughts after their day on the ocean. Mirroring the dolphin-pod, they become a family, providing each other with companionship and support. Attendees bring journals and are encouraged to record their impressions each night before retiring.

Founders Doug Hackett and Trish Regan

The couple told Suite101 that in 1994, they were called by the dolphins to come to Hawaii and transform their lives by doing spiritual work. Trish is a visionary, soul reader and author whose loving connection to spirit gently but powerfully guides the seminar process and meditations. Doug's balanced masculine/feminine energy and spiritual insight, enhanced by 20 years practice of meditation, creates the magical energy for these life-changing seminars.

Trish says that in the years they have been swimming with dolphins and whales, she feels that her spiritual growth has expanded to the point that she would have to live two more lifetimes to be in the place that she is now in her body, mind and spirit. "The dolphins have raised my vibration so much that they have helped me to clear lifetimes of fear, control issues and type A personality issues. I am so grateful for these angels of the sea!"
